BATTING
PRACTICE
All batting practice will be conducted
at batting tunnels at Olympic Field at Lee
University. No batting practice will be
allowed outside of the 40 minute allotted
time.
LINE-UP CARDS
Line-up cards are due 30 minutes prior to
game time. Please bring them to press area
located directly above 1st base dugout.
INFIELD/OUTFIELD
Each team will be allotted a 10 minute
infield/outfield session prior to the team’s
first game of the day.
PRE-TOURNAMENT COACHES MEETING
The coaches meeting will take place on the
campus of Lee University at the Deacon Jones
Dining Hall (located directly behind Walker
Arena) at 7:30 PM on Monday, May 5th. A meal
along with refreshments will be provided for
2 coaches and a Sports Information Director
from each team. Please bring your 24 man
Appendix H post-season roster to the
meeting.
HOST HOTEL
The Holiday Inn is serving as the host hotel
for the NAIA Region XIII Tournament. Please
contact Wade Lutz at 423-472-1504. The rate
is $64.95 per night.
TOURNAMENT T-SHIRTS
Tournament T-Shirts can be pre-ordered for
$10 per t-shirt. They will be $12 at the
games when sold separately.
PRACTICE
TIMES
Each team will be allowed a 15 minute
warm-up followed by a 1 hour practice time
at Lee University’s Olympic Field. Practice
times can be arranged by going through
tournament director David Beasley. Time
slots will be based on distance traveled to
Cleveland, TN with teams traveling the
farthest receiving spots later in the day.

SPORTS INFORMATION/RADIO
All Sports Information/Radio needs should be
directed to Lee University Sports
Information Director George Starr. Game
boxes will be delivered to coaches shortly
after the conclusion of each game. The press
area is equipped with wireless internet and
all games will be webcast. Any team bringing
radio broadcast teams should contact George
Starr immediately. All Lee games will be
broadcast via Teamline. The Sports
Information Staff will additionally provide
game files and fax to team media outlets if
requested to do so.
ATHLETIC
TRAINING
Jeff Mullins, Head Athletic Trainer at Lee
University, or a member of the Athletic
Training Staff will be on site for every
game of the Region XIII Tournament. Ice and
water will be available in both dugouts. A
tent will be located along the 3rd base line
to handle all training needs. Any additional
needs should be communicated directly to the
athletic training staff at Lee.
HOSPITALITY
ROOM
A hospitality room will be located along the
3rd base line for coaches, administrators,
umpires, trainers, and sports information
staff. Please assist in keeping all
players/fans out of this area.
TARP
In the event of bad weather, each team
playing is responsible for assisting in
putting on and off the tarp. Please remove
all spikes when working with the tarp. A
member of the Lee University Coaching Staff
will be present at all times.
LAUNDRY
Lee University will be providing laundry
services for any team interested. Services
will include laundering of uniforms and
under clothes along with delivery to hotel.
The service will be provided for a $25 per
day fee along with a tip if delivery is
required. Graduate Assistant Coaches Chris
Shepherd and Aaron Simmons will be
conducting the service.
UMPIRES
The umpire crew will consist of two umpires
from the SSAC and two umpires from the GCAC.
Each game will have a 3 man crew with the
championship game consisting of 4 umpires.
PARKING
Parking is limited at Olympic Field due to a
Middle School being located on the property.
Buses can enter and drop of teams, but need
to park in designated bus areas across
Parker Street (across street down left field
line). It should also be noted that the
Middle School is still in session and the
school zone is active between 3 PM and 4 PM.
